The one-of-a-kind Fogo Island Inn helped rejuvenate economic development in the New Foundland outport community of Fogo Island. This was the genesis for The Fogo Island Shop, a wood workshop housed in an old Fisherman's Hall. The Fogo Island Shop crafted most of the furniture for the Inn but struggled to define its role and offerings once the Inn was up and running.
We helped them think through their story as a business independent from the Inn with a sole focus on wood furniture. A new name followed, as well as a brand identity and packaging, always reflecting the island, its specific colour palette and its shapes.
