Lise Anne Gougeon, the owner of start-up Pomegranate, approached Design Holmen with a question: how do you make the traditional advent calendars less wasteful, more joyful and true to the spirit of giving? Her idea was to connect charities as well as everyday moments of joy, such as creating a craft with your child for each treasure found within the calendar doors. Design Holmen was given the creative freedom to come up with something that embodied the spirited optimism inherent in this beautiful idea.
That pink box still makes me smile like it's Christmas every day of the year.
